WE GET A good group of commenters here in Sticksville. Lately, we've been hearing quite a bit from a young woman from the Prairies, who has an openminded attitude toward Canadian shows, and an engaged and passionate way of defending them. On the subject of all the changes going on at the CBC, I think she's expressed the necessary corrective point of view better than Richard Stursberg, Kirstine Leyfield, or anybody else at the public broadcaster has managed to do. So I'm bumping her comment here

It's a very simple formula, an old time favorite covered up with the trend du jour. Denim never goes out of style and so, with all of the bright colors that cropped up in the Spring 08 shows (see Lanvin, Jil Sander, and Marc Jacobs) the necessary (accessible) trend that's pitched to the masses is bright colored denim.

The Real World: Hollywood just premiered a few weeks ago. The show is typically all about drinking, fighting, regretful hookups, jealousy, backstabbing, cavorting, and a whole lot of family therapy. Now you can throw in eco-friendly trend-setter.

Twitter needs to curtail this trend of bogus and bot run accounts while continuing to provide an engaging user experience. No one likes to open their email in the morning to find out that buyshoes, bywrinklecream2 and weddingrings are now following you.

Last night the tally was 17, the number indicating the amount of gas stations carrying ethanol that were burned to the ground by the mob. It is still an upward trend, last month 23 gas stations were targeted, in comparison to 52 ...
